Load Management + Growth
Psych & Such | 18 May 2021
If you know me, you are keenly aware of my love for exercise. Too many days off from the gym or movement leaves me feeling restless and lethargic. The idea of putting your body under load and stress to increase its ability and growth is a fascinating concept.
We as humans tend to gravitate towards the easy over the hard. The known over the unknown. And the comfortable over the painful.
Oddly enough, what we tend to avoid is exactly what we need to help us increase our abilities and grow. As with the gym, strategically putting ourselves in challenging situations and experiencing manageable levels of eustress can benefit us greatly.
What challenging situation(s) have you been avoiding that would be useful to your personal or professional advancement?
Behaviorally what "exercises" can you regularly incorporate into your days to help keep you growing and developing?
